February 20th, Monday

Here is this week's video:  http://youtu.be/euOV-VS6Yq0

Ran 6.91 miles in 63 minutes & 27 seconds @ Lake Murray.  It was a beautiful day for a run even if my legs were tired from yesterday.  I will have an accurate total up after I find out what my mileage was on Sunday.  Should be around 13 somewhere.  The 300 mile mark is getting close and I am looking forward to getting over this next hurdle!  That would put 3 behind me and 1 fewer ahead.  I am getting more determined as time goes by but I must keep doing the little things that have got me this far.

I will leave you with a last quote from Rough Rider, Nobel Peace Prize winner, and 26th President, Teddy Roosevelt to finish up President's Day:

"No man is worth his salt who is not ready at all times to risk his well-being, to risk his body, to risk his life, in a great cause."

Not risking my life, but my well-being and my body... possibly!  Take care all!
SHARE, SUPPORT, DONATE!!!!!

Total Miles: 281.63 + Sunday  Pace: 274.86 not including Sunday

I have flown by Santa Barbara, Las Vegas, and am now approaching Phoenix (as the crow flies).  Crazy to think about...

Love you Mom & Dad!  Keep fighting the good fight!

  1. Just saw your comment on the post on my blog. You are the man. Not sure if you are running through Chicago, but if you are, I would love to join for a bit. My wife went to school in San Diego and loves anyone from there.

    1. Love your idea! I just found it yesterday & had to immediately follow it! Not sure if I will be in Chicago or not but if I do, I will make sure to hook up with you for a few miles! Keep up the good work & I am going to turn my students on to your blog as well. I teach HS AP Econ and statistics. ~ Tom

    2. No worries at all. I am actually going to be in Monterrey in late may/early june, so if I can get away at all (probably tough since it is for a wedding) I would love to try to come down there. Any excuse to go get a Cotija's burrito and Pacific Bean mocha in PB.

    3. Haha! I actually might be up that way over Memorial Day weekend. We usually do a wine country trip so keep me posted on the dates. That would be a cool story for both our blogs if we can pull it off! Now I have to find a fountain! Maybe Balboa Park...
